Fresh from the garden fresh rolls lao style

Fresh rolls at home Lao style is done in 30 mins anytime and anywhere where you’ve got fresh salad veges.

This Saturday is was our home garden fresh picked ingredients for the rolls include: Mints, Perilla, Chilli, E-Lert leaf, lettuce, cucumber, Vietnamese mint… to name a few.

This time we also had noodles to add in as well as some vege protein nuggets (the not raw option).

All ingredients prepared and placed on the table where each person helps themselves to whatever their eyes and taste buds desired.  Traditionally the rolls get wrapped with lettuce leaf or E-Lert leaf. The Vietnamese style is to use the round flat rice paper (not raw, but works well).

Mum being in her early 80’s;  She prefers to use the lettuce and E-Lert leaf to wrap her chosen ingredients and dips the wrap in  home made chilli sauce with crushed peanuts, and Mmmmm, a mouth full of Gaia blessing from her very own garden.

Tom instead, loves his wraps in rice paper… and after 6 big rolls he made for himself feeling rather satisfyingly full but very happy and relaxed….Not have to worry about his weight gain.

This real simple, happy and refreshing meal of rolls is sure delightfully satisfying for the whole family on a Saturday evening that is.
