It was wonderful

• Awesome vegan lunch prepared lovingly by Ling
  • Live music by Chorella Choir from Kurrajong
    • Tom did a raw vegan dessert demo with chocolate mousse with coconut cream.
      • Tom gave a short health talk ‘Thriving in an unhealthy system’

Maureen baked two cakes for the birthday kids on the day, one 17, one 70. The choir sang beautifully while we enjoyed the delicious lunch. Karen kindly brought the doings to make flower halos for the angels present.

Ling and Tom said thanks to Earthcare for the wonderful time that we have had with the workshops and thanks to the warm friendships that we have made over the last few years.

The health talk was about elephants, bunnies and bandwagons. The elephants in the room; these are the things we don’t talk about with our practitioners/doctors. For instance, do we question our doctor when they advise antibiotics even though we know there is a problem with antibiotic resistance? And, we are not bunnies dazzled in the headlights of some others expertise. We can empower ourselves to make a difference to our health by jumping on the preventative bandwagon. While the cure bandwagon has its merits it is quite overdone to the point that we are not getting a strong enough emphasis on preventative measures.
