Larb Lao salad – Health and Happy Heart

Larb Lao  salad

Gather together

  • Lamyoun Crispy soy slices              1 packet 600g
  • fresh mint                                            1 cup
  • Snow fungus                                       1 large flower (soak for 15 mins)
  • Snake Beans                                       1 cup
  • Fresh chilli                                           1 chilli
  • Roast chilli power                              1 tea spoon (optional)
  • Roast rice power                               4 table spoons
  • Kaffie Lime leaf                                  25 leaf
  • Lemon grass                                      2 young stalks
  • Lemon juice                                       1 fresh squeeze
  • Soy sauce                                           4 table spoons

Make it

  • BBQ/roast/grill soy slices, Chopped into bite size, put into a large salad bowl
  • Finely chop lime leaf,  beans and snow fungus and add to the bowl
  • Roughly chop mint and chilli
  • Add toast rice power and lemon juice and soy sauce
  • Mix all ingredients  well with nicely washed hand
  • Serve with sticky rice or noodle
  • Best to use fresh herbs, chilli and lemon from your garden. Or still from your next door neighbour
  • Soy slices can be cooked over frying pan with a bit of olive oil or grilled for 10 mins
  • Highly recommend Australian grown and produced extra olive oil in dark colour glass bottle
  • Lamyoun Crispy soy slices can be purchased from Asian grocery in the frozen department
  • Lamyoun Crispy soy slices can be replaced by mushrooms
