Ingredients
The Salad
- 1/2 cabbage finely shredded
- 2 apples finely shredded
- 1 cup of mint thinly sliced
- 1/2 cup of cashew nuts coarsely chopped
Dressing
- Chillie coarsley chopped
- 1/3 cup sweet chillie sauce
- 1/3 cup soy sauce
- 1 lemon or lime
- Mix the ingredients in a bowl
The Tofu Steaks
- 4 600g packets of firm bean curd
- Olive oil
- 1/2 cup Veg Mushroom oyster thick sauce
- 3 tablespoon soy sauce
- 1 teaspoon pepper
- 2 onions finely chopped
Method
- Slice the bean curd in half flat wise
- Shallow fry with a little oil until brown
- Take out the tofu and in same pan brown the onions.
- Add the sauces
- Add the tofu and gently mix to coat the tofu, let it simmer to allow the tofu to absorb the sauce.
